Learning to breathe diaphragmatically as well as how to correctly and effectively connect to and activate your pelvic floor and core are what set the stage for a strong, well functioning inner core unit. These fundamental techniques will be used throughout each of our core and pelvic floor series so please take the time to learn them and understand how they feel in your body before jumping in to the series. You can come back to this video at any time. We also recommend spending 1-2 minutes practicing this before as a warmup every time you get ready to do the exercises throughout the series as well. The more you practice it, the more it will begin to feel like second nature.
Diaphragmatic breathing also helps us to regulate the nervous system and is a great way to help ease feelings of stress and anxiety.
